Now that all the shouting has died down, (Don't I wish!) it looks like it's going to be "Pants suits forever" in the new Government.  Obama's first big mistake to my way of thinking.  Now I've got nothing aginst Hils personally.  Nothing at all.  And to be certain, she has met a lot of world leaders.  But so had Kruchev's wife but I don't think Kosygin ever contemplated appointing her Foriegn Minister.  Not if he had to take old Nick along with her he sure as hell didn't.

And that's the big mistake in this deal.  Is Hillery going to be running Obama's foriegn policy or Slick Willie's?  For from what I hear she is going to be allowed to appoint her own staff also.  Which means that she gets to keep her campaign staff intact for her next run for the White House.  Not too clever to my way of thinking.

But.......................Perhaps Mr. Prez to be is a little smarter than I give him credit for.  Politically I mean.  This get's her out of the Senate which effectivly cuts her off from her NY power base and then all he has to do is drop her in the shit on some assignement and BINGO!  One political rival eliminated forever.  This is exactly how Deacon Dumb (With Karl Rove's hand up his arse working the jaws.) got rid of Colin Powell as a rival.  Remember, he also had Presidential pretensions at one time.  On this only time will tell who is the most clever.  But an easy relationship it is never going to be.  My advice?  Remember to sit with your back to the wall at all times Barak.  Jesse James forgot this little bit of wisdom and see what happened to him. 

But that's not really what I want to talk to you about today.  For it is the terrible state of our country that is still grabbing most of my attention as I hope it is yours.  And believe me, every time I take a new look it get's worse.  Now it is estimated that there are 7.5 million homes "Under water", that is to say, the owners owe more than the house is worth.  Which puts them in the position of the banks being able to demand more collateral and if they cannot come up with it forclosure is the result.  Not that I believe that the banks are so stupid as to exercise this right for if there is one thing they don't need on their ragged books is 7.5 million houses they can't get rid of.  But nonetheless, the threat remains to the homeowner.

And in 5 States the percentage of underwater homes exceeds 25%.  With Nevada leading the list with a whopping 47.8%!  Almost 50% of the homes in the State are not worth what is owed on them.  And with the violent rise in unemployment this in fact, spells economic disaster for possibly millions of people.  If they lose their job they cannot sell up and move somewhere else where they might find work because to do so means they would have to come up with a bundle of cash to pay off the difference in that realized on the sale and what is owed to the entity that finianced the mortgage.  And how many people are in a position to do this?  Damn few I suspect.

Then we have report that tells us that 33% of Americans had serious trouble paying their medical bills last year!  A scandle of gigantic proporcion in what is claimed to be the most prosperous country on earth.  And how many people there were who did not go to the doctor or have a prescription filled due to lack of funds is not reported at all.  There are millions of people out there, especially older people but not only these, who are forced to choose between buying life saving medicine or eating!

And the latest report on hunger in the U.S. is even more shocking.  12.5% or 36.2 million people in the United States go hungry every single day!  Think how many people could be fed properly for the 10 billion dollars of your money that is being poured into the sands of Iraq every single month.  Only to try and allow the Texas oil companies to grab off the Iraqi people's resources.  Not to mention the amount of food that the 700 billion the congress at the behest of the criminal Bush gang pissed away on banks so that they could continue to recieve thier exhorbitante salaries and bonuses.  Think of it!  700 billion of your money so that these criminal incompetants can continue their "Good life" while you face forclosure and cannot pay for life saving medical care and medicines.  That you who have been forced to pay for the party are not even invited inside for a little warmth and good cheer.

And now it is patently obvious that the Rethuglicans are stopping any rescue package for the auto industry out of spite at losing the election and an attempt to destroy the Obama presidency before it even starts.  Because if Obama has to take over the reins of government with anotgher 3 to 5 million unemployed his every effort and intention towards improving the lot of all Americans is doomed to fail before it ever gets off the ground.  Which is exactly the intention of the GOP and make no mistake about it.  These are the people who "Love" their country so much they are willing to totally destroy it in their pique at not getting their way.

And to my way of thinking this all adds up to the terrible prospect of armed revolution!  For I do not believe the American people of today are prepared to suffer as the people did during the depression of the 1930's.  And seeing as how we now have had over 60 years of the official ideal that every problem can be solved by armed force what else can you believe but that the American people have also taken this lesson to heart and will rely on the same type of solution?

And this time a civil war will spell the end of that Grand Experiment in self governance that was pronounced on that long ago 4th of July in 1776.  And what was the first truly democratic government on the globe in a very long time will be reduced to just one more oligarchy of peasants working more or less as slaves to keep the wealthy in luxury and power.  The same pattern the United States has imposed on each and every country South of the Texas/Mexico border since the days of James Monroe.
