HIS DREAM.  OUR HOPE.

First off I think I should begin by explaining my rather long absence which was caused by a total crash that kept me from connecting to the net for 7 very long days.  And with it a total lack of aid from my IP it was even more frustrating.  And added to the problem was their total lack of interest in listening to my idea of what was wrong.  And as it proved to be, I  was correct.  The problem being that somehow my new router had deprogrammed itself and I was not in possesion of the parameters to reprogram it but when I told them I thought this was the problem they ignored me and went on a wild search for some failure in their system but when they could not find anything wrong they promised to send a technician to my house to find the problem.  Only problem with that was that he didn't show up.  But they did send a tech from the telephone company to check the lines finally this afternoon and he, like me, thought it wqs the router and seeing as he knew the right person to call he had the perameters and in a few minutes it was all up and running again.  So far Hooorah!  But I must say that this has been one of the most frustrating weeks in my long life.  Here we were, facing one of the most critical elections in my lifetime and I was cut off from 90% of my sources!

To this I must add that the Spanish did cover the election quite extensivly but they do, after all, have other things to preoccupy themselves with also.  Like our very serious finiancial situation that has resulted in the highest monthly unemployment rates in almost 10 years.  So being without my myriad of information sources was bad indeed.  Nor could I write a word.  But Obama did manage to win it without my last efforts on his behalf so all is well.

Now the question is, can he really change America as he has promised?  With two wars on his hands and a total finiancial meltdown plus the Bush gangs finial effort to steal the last cent from the treasury it ain't gonna be easy for certain.  But if he can inspire confidence in the American people by his determined efforts then he will be a long way down the road.  We shall see.

Now I must leave you as I still have guests living/sleeping in my "Office" and they want to go to bed.  Hopefully I will be able to manage something more current tomorrow.  Night all.  And so that none of you might get the idea that a week off has softened me I shall leave you with my personal logo.
