Just Foreign Policy Iraqi Death Estimator

BACK ON THE JOB AGAIN.

The above photo probably doesn't say much to most of you out there but it was a common occurrence during my childhood.  What you are seeing is a farm being sold at auction.  And when I say sold I am talking of everything.  Animals, land, farm machinery, buildings and normally, even the furniture in the house.  This was done when debts, mostly in unpaid mortgage obligations, were impossible to meet.  And if you look closely you will see quite a few policemen in the background with drawn batons for sometimes these affairs did not go all that smoothly when the people who knew they would be next allowed their wrath at the injustice of it to boil over.

And I am certain that most of you, if you have any awareness of the depression at all, believe that it was something that took place in the 1930's but I can assure you that it went on much longer than that.  In fact, when we moved to the farm in 1943 we bought all the livestock to stock the place at just such auctions.  And I can also tell you that a school friend of mine's father had an accident at his work and lost a leg which left him unable to earn a living or take care of the farm and they were sold up in just such a manner.  An event that I attended personally.  This took place in late 1945 or early 1946.  So when all the "Experts" talk of a short but sharp decline followed by a rapid upswing don't believe a fucking word of it!  When these assholes talk it's about how they are going to fuck you the next time round and nothing else.  And their sharp recovery will be, at best, on wall street, not your street.  Why?  Because they don't know you, know nothing about you, and worst of all, don't give a fuck about you or your situation.  To them you are just a number.  A stastic just like how many bushels of corn will be produced per acre in Iowa this coming year.  For in reality, all you are there for is to make more money for them.  And when you are unable to do this you do not exist.  Just as the dust bowl destroyed the farms in the midwest during the '20s and '30's the farmers ceased to exist also.

No longer did they produce any income for the rich so they were totally forgotten.  With the following result.

Now I realize that the most of you reading this are not farmers.  Times have changed after all.  But...........................You can interpolate what happened back then and apply it to what is happening today.  And if you are at all wise you will ask yourself the all important question.  What will happen to me and my family if my home is taken from me?  Where will we go?  How will we survive?

Because heading West to California as these folks were about to do

in the 30's is really no longer an option as this is almost certainly what you will find waiting for you.

Of course there is always a choice of accomodations.  Especially since the DIY craze will be all the rage as it was back then.  But then there is always the problem of where to build.  Not everyone can be as lucky as this Mexican family who have been allowed to build on the grounds of the luxury estate in the background.  (Windows with fly screening=Luxury in 1934!)

But where there is a will there is always a way.  And when there are ample materials at hand, no problem.

And what with your wife and kids no longer interested in designer wear I'm convinced you'll make out all right.

Now I'm pretty certain that most of you think it's just old me taking the piss again and dragging up the past in an attempt to frighten you but before this idea gets too entrenched I would advise you strongly to go here and read this.  And as you do keep in mind that the guy who wrote it has been right far more often than he has been wrong.  And while most of what he writes is related to a recovery on the stock market, as it almost always is with these types, what he is saying holds true for you and yours also because the Dow Jones did not reach it's pre 1929 level until 1950.  The same year we moved into a real house for the first time since 1939.  A 30 year old house that had never been finished that was bought from the proceeds of the sale of the farm.

No my friends, what you will do NOW if you have any sense at all is sit right down and write a letter.  To the incoming president and in the strongest language you know but without being offensive, but demand don't beg, that he do the only thing possible to alleviate the misery you may well be about to experience.   And that is simple.

GET RID OF ALL THE FUCKING HIGHLY EDUCATED FOOLS HE IS SURROUNDING HIMSELF WITH AND GET SOME GOOD UNION PEOPLE IN TO TELL HIM HOW HIS POLICIES ARE GOING TO EFFECT THE REAL WORLD.  THE ONE YOU LIVE IN!  SOMEONE FROM THE CALIFORNIA FARM WORKERS UNION.  AND SOMEONE FROM THE RANKS OF THE BRAVE PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO FORCE WAL MART TO ALLOW THEIR WORKERS TO JOIN A UNION SO THEY TO CAN BEGIN TO ENJOY SOME OF THE FRUITS OF THEIR LABOR.

These are the people who have a finger on the pulse of the nation, not some shill for that fixed casino that Wall Sreet is and always has been.  And there is only one way that we will ever come over this and pouring billions into the huge banks who have already admitted that they are going to use your money to pay their grossly exagerated salaries and bonuses and not a penny is to go to help you out of the shit.  Because, as I said above, they don't know who you are and wouldn't give a fiddlers fuck about you if they did.

And for the love of Sweet Jeebus and all the bleedin Saints do try and make him understand that his bullshit about tax cuts is nothing but that.  Pure unadulterated bovine excrement!  Do you really believe that a tax cut would have helped any of the people in the photos above?  In a pig's arse it would have.  People without work do not pay taxes so a tax cut is about as useful as tits on a boar to them.  It's just that simple folks.  Take all that money that the Congress in their pre-election panic decided to give to the banks and bankers and put it into the hands and pockets of the citizens who will then spend it which in turn will create a demand which thus will create jobs.  While a bank buying another bank, with your money I must add, will create nothing but more wealth for the already vulgarly wealthy few.  Who then, almost certainly, will move it as quickly as possible to some tax haven which is in reality nothing but grand theft made legal by a bunch of ignorant dupes who call themselves congressmen and senators but who, in reality, are nothing but 24/7 kissers of the elite arse in hopes of improving their own fortunes.  And if there is anything left that might fall off the table they will also have that instead of allowing you to even scramble after the crumbs.

SO, I REMAIN

TO ONE AND ALL!
